To ensure their well-being, it is crucial to water weekly, maintain medium to bright indirect sunlight, sustain humidity levels between 60-70%, use a well-draining potting mix, fertilize monthly during spring and summer, and repot by 2 inches in Spring or Summer when root-bound. While not pet-safe, common issues include crisping from low humidity, alleviated by a nearby pebble tray, and the need to monitor for plant pests drawn to Alocasia’s favored humidity levels.
